FESTIVAL OF ARTS ‘FIGURES AND FACES’ EXHIBIT
AT WELLS FARGO BANK

Exhibit Runs Now Through April 30, 2013 with Opening Reception April 6, 2012


LAGUNA BEACH, CAMarch 21, 2013 – The Festival of Arts is pleased to announce a new exhibit, “Figures and Faces” now on display at the Wells Fargo Bank in Laguna Beach through April 30, 2013. The exhibit showcases the diverse styles and materials used by some of Laguna Beach’s most talented figurative and portrait artists. Their work will also be on display in this summer’s Festival of Arts Fine Art Show.

A special opening reception with the exhibiting artists will be held Saturday, April 6 from 11am – 1pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Artists featured in this Mary Aslin (pastels), Sandra Jones Campbell (acrylics), Shelley Rapp Evans (fiber arts), Rob Gage (photography), Hannah Harris (mixed media), Ryan Heimbach (charcoal), Kathy Jones (oils), Elizabeth McGhee (oils), Scott Methvin (oils), and Andrew Myers (sculpture).

“Working in different mediums, each artist brings their own perspective on the human figure,” says curator Tim Shockley. “This exhibit has a little bit of everything- from realistic black and white portraits to colorful abstract figures and more.”

The exhibit is on the third floor of the Wells Fargo building at 260 Ocean Avenue, Laguna Beach. It is part of an ongoing series of shows that the Festival of Arts will be holding at Wells Fargo. The building is open to the public Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free. The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization whose proceeds support the arts in and about Laguna Beach. For more information on the exhibit, please call (949) 290-2057.
