JULY 2013
SEAWORLD’S 4TH OF JULY BLAST: SeaWorld® will celebrate Independence Day with a number of festivities: the day will start with a 4th of July Flag Ceremony, just before the park opens, featuring the United States Army San Diego Recruiting Company Color Guard, and, through the Wounded Warrior Program, Staff Sergeant Jason Gibson. Then, starting at noon, SeaWorld Radio will host a live broadcast that will continue until 11 p.m., featuring rock and pop tunes from the 1960s through today along with American-themed songs piped in over the park-wide sound system. Guests will be encouraged to visit the SeaWorld Radio booth in the park’s Entrance Plaza, meet a DJ and request their favorite songs. More music will abound from SeaWorld’s Animal Connections’ lawn from 1 to 7 p.m. In between the local group Polyester Express performances, SeaWorld animal ambassadors will delight park-goers. And in the midst of the park’s Summer Nights at SeaWorld celebration, the “Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular” will light up the night sky with an extended display of pyrotechnics at 9:30 p.m. SeaWorld is open until midnight on July 4. For show schedules and more information visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com.
