COOL OFF WITH BELUGA WHALES AND MORE: When it’s hot out, there’s no better place    to beat the heat than at SeaWorld® San Diego. There are so many ways to chill out, including taking a seat in the front rows at a Shamu®, dolphin or sea lion and otter show, or taking a journey on a water coaster at Journey to Atlantis® or going for a spin inside a nine-passenger tube-like water raft at Shipwreck Rapids®. An even more immersive experience is the marine park’s Beluga Interaction Program (BIP).  BIP begins with a behind-the-scenes tour that takes participants to visit SeaWorld’s enormous Pacific walruses and gigantic polar bears.  Then, guests slip into wet suits, and set their feet in 55-degree water to touch, feed and give training signals to beluga whales. The program fee is $215 plus park admission and includes wet suits, booties, lockers, changing facilities and showers. Participants must be at least 10 years old and 48 inches tall. Advance registration (800) 257-4268 (press 7) or visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com.

HALLOWEEN AUDITIONS: SeaWorld® San Diego is seeking energetic improvisational character actors, interactive stage hosts and vocalists for SeaWorld’s family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular®, which takes place Sept. 28-29 and weekends this October.  Auditions will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute in San Diego.  Applicants must apply online prior to the audition date and must be at least 18 years old. Halloween costumes are not allowed at the audition. For more information, please call the Audition Hotline at (619) 226-3607 or visit www.SeaWorldSanDiegoAuditions.com.

SUMMER NIGHTS AT SEAWORLD WITH CLUB ATLANTIS CONTINUES: During Summer Nights at SeaWorld®, guests enjoy SeaWorld San Diego’s featured attractions by day, then by night take in special animal shows such as the rock ’n’ roll killer whale show, Shamu Rocks®, and the hilarious Sea Lions Tonite sea lion and otter show.  Summer Nights activities also allow kids of all ages to dance the night away at SeaWorld’s Club Atlantis Presented by Coca-Cola through Aug. 11.  Channel 933’s DJ Marc Thrasher keeps the party going from 7 to 10 p.m. with dance team performances, nightly Coca-Cola dance-offs, giveaways and plenty of time to just dance, dance, dance!  For more information visit www.Facebook.com/SeaWorldSanDiego.
