FESTIVAL OF ARTS “ART PICKS” EXHIBIT AT WELLS FARGO IN LAGUNA BEACH NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 31

The Festival of Arts is pleased to announce it’s newest exhibit, Art Picks at the historic Wells Fargo Building in downtown Laguna Beach now through October 31. Art Picks is a multi-media show representing approximately 20 artists from the 2013 Festival of Arts summer show. Artists will be showing works that represent their specific techniques and talent they use to produce original artwork. Types of artwork on display include sculpture, painting, photography and more. The public is welcome to join the artists for a free reception on Saturday, September 28th, from 11 – 1pm at the Wells Fargo Bank.

The artists and mediums being presented in Art Picks 2013 are Lindsay Buchman (Printmaking), Bruce Burr (Mixed Media), Stephanie Cunningham and Betty Haight (Mixed Media), Baldemar Fierro (Photography), Gary Fishman (Oil Painting), Russell Jacques (Sculpture), Robin Johnson (Oil Painting), Tom Lamb (Photography), Scott Methvin (Oil Painting), Casey Parlette (Sculpture), Troy Poeschl (Mixed Media), April Raber (Oil Painting), Bradford J. Salamon (Oil Painting), Gerald Schwartz (Oil Painting), and Caroline Zimmermann (Oil Painting).

Exhibit Curator Tim Shockley commented, “The current exhibit illustrates the exciting range of top quality artwork that was on exhibit at the Festival of Arts this past summer. The talent and diversity of work from these artists is just stunning.”

The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Show is a prestigious, highly competitive, regional juried fine art show featuring original artwork by southern Orange County’s finest artists. Each season a group of professionals involved in the art community evaluate the original artwork of the artists featured in the annual summer exhibit. The 2014 Festival of Arts Fine Art Show will run July 6 – August 30, 2014. This free exhibit is part of an ongoing series of shows that the Festival of Arts is having at Wells Fargo this year.  The Wells Fargo building is at 260 Ocean Avenue, Laguna Beach and is open to the public Monday through Friday 9am – 6pm. and Saturday 9am – 4pm.  The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization whose proceeds go to support the arts in and about Laguna Beach.
