A Drama that is painted against the backdrop of boyhood memories and dreams
By Brian Friel
Directed by Susan K. Berkompas
Childhood memories from autumn 1936 dance through his mind as he remembers his mother and her four sisters in the kitchen of their quaint cottage nestled in a small rural Ireland town. The five fiercely proud and unmarried sisters share lively conversations, plenty of laughter, and spirited dancing, which all seem to defy the searing hardships of their daily life. This production includes live harp, flute and violin music, which serve to create an authentic Celtic atmosphere. “This is no way a play to be missed – simply a wondrous experience. Experience it!” –The New York Post
