In the 2012-2013 season, violinist MIDORI celebrated the 30th anniversary of her performing career.
Today Midori is recognized as an extraordinary performer, a devoted and gifted educator at University of Southern California’s Thornton School and Japan’s Soai University, and an innovative community engagement activist as a founder of multiple music outreach programs, such as Midori & Friends, Partners In Performance, and more.
In essence, over the years she has created a new model for young artists who seek to balance the joys and demands of a performing career at the highest level with a hands-on investment in the power of music to change lives.
Her program includes:
- MOZART Sonata in F Major, K. 377
- BLOCH Poeme Mystique, Sonata No. 2
- BEETHOVEN Sonata in E-flat Major, Op. 12, No. 3
- FAURE Sonata in A Major, Op. 13
In her spare time away from USC and the concert hall, Midori enjoys reading, writing and attending the theater.
