Chart-topping jazz sax man Jackiem Joyner will appear on the next “Breakfast with Gary and Kelly” radio for TV broadcast on Saturday, May 10. The Saturday morning radio show will broadcast live starting at 9 a.m. from the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
A studio audience will be welcomed in for the 10 a.m. to noon show; doors will open at 9:30 a.m. with the final hour being videotaped for later broadcast.
The program airs on the City’s MVTV Channel 30 and on Saddleback College’s SCTV Channel 39. The audience will be admitted free of charge but seating is limited. Reservations are available at www.ksbr.org
Joyner is one of the most exciting young turks on the urban and contemporary jazz scenes today.
Honored as “Debut Artist of the Year” for his 2007 release “Babysoul,” his sophomore effort “Lil’ Man Soul” spawned a pair of Number 1 singles including “I’m Waiting For You,” winner of Song of the Year honors at the 2009 Smooth Jazz Awards. His new release, “Evolve,” marks a return for Joyner to the sounds that have garnered him remarkable notoriety.
