LEARNING FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN AN MTV AWARD-STYLE ENVIRONMENT
ANAHEIM, CALIF.(February 11, 2009)- Unemployment, runaway debt and a tight credit market is making it difficult for today’s youth to start on the right foot financially. Fortunately, the Money XLive event will give our youth practical money and business skills so they can avoid the problems many people are facing today.
StandUp For Kids is committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of at-risk youth. Part of that commitment is to make sure the youth we serve are protected and prepared for the real world financial challenges that await them. Many of the youth we serve will be attending Money XLive on February 27, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., atthe Grove of Anaheim located at 2200 East Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA92806. A red carpet financial awareness event will take place right after the show.
. Money XLive is designed to providing our youth an edu-tainment event that will inspire them to be financially responsible, motivate them to attend college and encourage community service.
Money XLive combines celebrities, entertainers, live bands and sport stars – participants will be entertained as they pick up the practical financial skills they need. This event will feature live performances by Wilmer Valderrama, John Salley, Jesse Billauer, Cris Judd and entertainment by Kelley James, Think, Krystal Cori, Kaba Modern, DJ’s Mark Moreno and Triple XL. Additional interviews or support from Chuck Liddell, Matt Leinart, Brian Deegan, Travis Pastrana, Roy Powers, Steve Astephen, Kenny Bartram, Greg Lutzka and Christina Milian.
Vince Shorb, of the National Youth Financial Educators Council, states “It is an honor to be able support the great work StandUp For Kidsis doing and supporting their mission of helping homeless and street kids better their lives and reclaim their future.”
