Relay For Life is an overnight event designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Since the first laps were walked in 1995, the Mission Viejo event has raised more than $2.5 million for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. Senator Mimi Walters, the first event co-chair, joined other past Mission Viejo chairs in the opening ceremony last Saturday at Saddleback College.
Next year’s Relay For Life of Mission Viejo will take place June 6-7.
