Oprah.com List of “Wacky” Vacations
CARLSBAD, Calif. (Feb. 27, 2009) – The popular website Oprah.com is listing LEGOLAND® California as one of eight “Wacky Family Attractions” in a feature designed to encourage families to vacation closer to home this year “when time and money are in short supply.”
“During this rough economy it’s good to know parents are still investing in quality time with their children, especially those ages 2 to 12 since that time is so precious,” said General Manager of LEGOLAND California Resort Peter Ronchetti. “Being called ‘wacky’ is actually quite the compliment during a time when anything ‘normal’ is considered boring by most kids!”

This honor comes as LEGOLAND celebrates its 10th birthday. LEGOLAND California opened on March 20, 1999.
