The Department of Theatre Arts is thrilled to present Lend Me a Tenor by Ken Ludwig on November 6th-9th in the McKinney Theatre at Saddleback College.
Directed by Robert Prior, this non-stop, door-slamming comedy set in a 1930s Cleveland hotel room, follows the antics of a world-famous opera singer preparing to perform his greatest role at the gala season opener.
The play was produced on both the West End (1986) andBroadway (1989).
It received nine Tony Award nominations and won for Best Actor (Philip Bosco) and Best Director (Jerry Zaks). A Broadway revival opened in 2010. Lend Me a Tenor has been translated into sixteen languages and produced in twenty-five countries.

The Department of Theatre Arts program at Saddleback College produces several fully-staged shows each year. All students are given the opportunity to audition for every production yet Theatre Arts students are given priority in the casting process. In addition there are numerous opportunities for students to contribute in backstage activities through the Entertainment and Theater Technology program.

Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway turn left to the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Turn right into the campus and take the third left to Theatre Circle, turning right into Lot 12.
