Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge initiated a record number of new members in October. Exalted Ruler (“ER”) Derek Randles said, “This group of twenty-three (23) new Elk members brings our total membership to just shy of one thousand men and women.
The significant aspect of this milestone is that we will have more members to help carry out our charitable works.” Randles went on to say, “For the most part, these good folks come to us from all over the Saddleback Valley. They all share a common desire to give back to the community and they know that joining the Elks is one of the best ways to do that. We always have a full agenda of giving throughout the year, but the holidays are an even more special time so it’s a wonderful time to become an Elk.”
The new Elk members from Mission Viejo are David Tucker, Brian Sheehan, David O’Sullivan, and Richard Lambert. James and Diane Carter and Pamela Erickson are from Silverado, Luke Brady from Ladera Ranch, Steven Coffey from Rancho Santa Margarita, Joe Gonsalves, and Michael Howard from Trabuco Canyon, Janet Griffin, Joseph Jordan, and Russ Loftin from Laguna Niguel, Paul Halel from Laguna Hills, David Hart from Irvine, Julie Holmes and Jeffrey Connelly from Aliso Viejo, Stephen Merrill, and Tod Lepper from San Juan Capistrano, Lenee Miller from Costa Mesa, Mark Shelton from Laguna Beach and Russell Smith from Dana Point.
Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 is celebrating 44 years of service to Saddleback Valley Communities. It is one of 10 lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 146 history of giving. “Elks Care Elks Share”
