Cost Plus World Market and Wicks Furniture will fill the remaining two vacant big-box sites in the Mission Viejo Freeway Center.
Cost Plus World Market secured the vacant 25,000-square-foot former Comp USA building at 25262 El Paseo. Wicks Furniture leased the 30,000-square-foot building at 25222 El Paseo that once housed a Border Books, Crown Books and the Halloween Adventure Superstore. The furniture retailer is expected to open early this year.
Cost Plus World Market is proposing a mini facelift and site improvements. The revamp includes a renovated entry element, more windows, new awnings and an updated color scheme for the building. The site improvements entail new landscaping, parking lot cart corrals and a new trash enclosure behind the building.
The store, which features an eclectic array of imported housewares, furniture, decor and specialty foods, will move from 28341 Marguerite Parkway and open later this year.
