Aliso Viejo, CA (April 2009) – The Orange County Gladiators today announced that Antwon Tanner, “Slick” in the WC Network’s hit One Tree Hill, will play for the Orange County Gladiators this season.
Tanner also played the role of “Worm” in the award winning basketball film Coach Carter which also starred Samuel Jackson in addition to supporting roles in other films such as One Eight Seven, Never Die Alone and Brothas in Arms. Prior to his acting career, Tanner had a storied high school basketball career playing the off guard position at both Corliss and King high schools in Chicago.

The Orange County Gladiators are preparing for their 2nd season as one of the newest entries into the WCBL (West Coast Pro Basketball League), a spring league based out of Santa Barbara, CA. The organization is an active participant in the community with a mission of providing quality family entertainment at affordable prices. The team will commence play in April of 2009 and will be playing their 7 home games at the 1,200 seat facility at Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo, CA.
