55 St. Mary’s Students and Staff Donate Hair at Cancer Awareness Assembly

Date:

On Friday, October 23, hundreds of students, faculty, parents, and alumni of St. Mary’s School in Aliso Viejo gathered for their annual Cancer Awareness Assembly.

This year, 55 people, the youngest being 4 years old, cut their hair on-stage to donate to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program, which is committed to making wigs for cancer patients.

Through the St. Mary’s community, a number of cancer survivors will be helped, and 23 donors in this year’s event have donated in the past – some even 4 and 5 times.

This tradition has grown to be one of the school’s most popular, and stylists from Parks Salon in Laguna Niguel donated their time and services for the cause.
