Ring in the New Year With Humor, History & The Bard! Terra Taylor Knudson returns to the Long Beach Playhouse in New Solo Show

Date:

Award-winning Long Beach actress and founder of Olio Theatre Works, Terra Taylor Knudson returns to the Long Beach Playhouse’s Collaborative for the third time, this time with her brand new solo performance; A Rose by Any Other Name produced in collaboration by Olio Theatre Works and the Long Beach Playhouse.

Told through monologue, anecdotes and a little creative conjecture this tour-de-force solo performance combines wit, humor and history as Terra examines the significant moments in her life through the lens of Shakespeare’s greatest women.

The daughter of a Holistic psychotherapist and a computer scientist, Terra’s unique perspective and charming neuroses make for a delightful trip down memory lane. Her scholarly and intimate knowledge of her subjects brings an added layer of fun as she blends facts with historical fiction to illustrate how everyone has a bit of the Bard within.

A delightful celebration of the trials and tribulations of growing up, this show is sure to tickle the fancy of Shakespeare scholars and newbies alike and promises to shed light and laughter on the dynamic women who broke the mold and rocked the Tower of London!

Performances are  Friday January 29, 2016,  Saturday  January 30, 2016 at 8 p.m., and 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016.

Tickets are available at www.lbplayhouse.org, or by calling 562-494-1014, option 1.
