Conference Center renamed Aliso Viejo Center

Date:

The Aliso Viejo Conference Center will now be known as Aliso Viejo Center.

The city-owned facility that’s flanked by the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center and Aliso Viejo Country Club has been in operation since 2009.

The name change stems from the center’s former management company that recommended the facility be renamed for marketing purposes. The center is popular for weddings, special occasions and business uses, but feedback over its name from prospective brides has been lackluster.  Last July, Wedgewood took over operations of the facility.

The City Council selected the new name from a list of four that also included Aliso Vista Center, Terra Vista Center at Aliso Viejo and Via Terra at Aliso Viejo. The names were selected by city staff and members of Wedgewood from a list developed by the company heading up the city’s branding efforts.

The new name is designed to be more appealing to brides seeking a more elegant name for their wedding location, which overlooks the golf course, while continuing to maximize previous marketing efforts for the center.

Aliso Viejo Center is located at 31 Santa Barbara Drive. For more information, visit http://www.wedgewoodbanquet.com/wedding-venue/Aliso-Viejo.
