CAPISTRANO HOME OUTREACH OPTION FOR STUDENT EDUCATION
Are you considering home schooling for the 2009/2010 school year?
The Capistrano Unified School District has developed its own powerful home school program, offering a comprehensive curriculum.
CHOOSE (Capistrano Home Outreach Option for Student Education) is available to all CUSD students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth. We have enjoyed a decade of success serving over 700 families. The CHOOSE program is designed to be flexible enough to meet the needs of children and families, yet structured to ensure students are learning the content standards for each grade level.
Elementary CHOOSE students can opt to attend art and music classes at their neighborhood school. Middle school CHOOSE students can opt to attend up to two classes on their middle school campus.
We are currently in the process of planning for the 2009-2010 school year enrollments and will be hosting a several parent preview days in May. Elementary Preview Thursday, May 14 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. or Thursday, May 21 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Middle School Preview Thursday, May 14 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. or Thursday, May 21 from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
At the preview, you will learn about the program and what CHOOSE has to offer. Textbooks will be available for your review, and CHOOSE teachers and staff will be present to answer any of your

Our staff is excited about the opportunities available to CUSD families through the CHOOSE program. If you are planning to register a kindergartner or a student new to CUSD, you will need to bring the student¡¦s original birth certificate, current immunization record, physical exam record and proof of residency.
