VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care, invites the community to explore the benefits of music therapy on July 21, during “Thank-FULL Thursdays,” a free, monthly self-care workshop open to healthcare professionals, caregivers and anyone coping with grief. Taking place every third Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m., the workshop has drawn large crowds of enthusiastic community members at the VITAS Office, 310 Commerce, Ste. 200, Irvine, California 92602.
VITAS’ skilled experts will present “Music and You!” Natalie Rodriguez, M.S.W, VITAS Board Certified music therapist, will discuss how music therapy can be used as a tool to overcome grief and will offer strategies to help empower attendees’ physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual needs.
Rodriguez and VITAS Community Liaison Tanya Brown are experts in their respective fields. Brown, a compelling motivational speaker, life coach and author of two books, shares her secrets for managing stress and cultivating peace-of-mind from first-hand experiences after coping with a family tragedy.
VITAS Healthcare is dedicated to educating the community and equipping them with the tools they need to better cope with stress and grief. Participation is welcomed and attendees are asked to RSVP by Thursday, July 14, by calling Tanya Brown at 657-294-9674 or emailing Tanya.Brown@vitas.com.
