- Tomato expert Dave Freed to present on planting and watering systems to maximize plant harvests
- Informational event teaches sustainable techniques using self-watering containers
WHAT: Local residents will gather at the Coastkeeper Garden to master the art of self-watering, planting and pollination techniques to substantially improve garden harvests with tips from tomato expert, Dave Freed – also known as “Dave the Tomato Guy.”
WHY: Dave developed a unique watering system to produce more than 50 pounds of tomatoes from a single plant, which can be applied to most household vegetables. With their new skills, these gardeners can grow prize tomatoes and other vegetables without wasting water.
