Pacific Symphony – Sea-Themed Activities

Date:

At this year’s Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park, you can enjoy several fun, sea-themed activities for all ages.

The fun takes place on Saturday, August 5 on the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way. The Children’s Musical Playground and Prelude in the Park is from 4 to 7 pm followed by the concert with Pacific Symphony led by Maestro Carl St.Clair at 7 pm.

If you love the sea, fossils and marine life head to the Fossil Dig. You can dig in a large sand pit for real shark teeth, clam shells and other treasures to take home. Real historic fossils will also be available to view.

For people interested in learning more about preserving the world’s oceans, you can take a stroll through the Wyland Foundation’s Mobile Learning Experience. The state-of-the-art bio-diesel science museum on wheels features a 40-person multi-sensory theater and seven interactive stations to learn about water conservation and quality.

For the social media users out there, we’ll have photo opportunities with a mermaid, pirate and Sebastian the crab. A 360-degree camera will also be onsite to take fun short videos that you can share on social media. Make sure to use the hashtag #undertheseamv so we can see all the fun you have!

Like in year’s past, there will also be several community booths, crafts and games for all to enjoy. There will be a few surprises throughout the evening during the concert, too!

Stay tuned for more information about Prelude entertainment in the coming weeks
