Saddleback College Welcomes Guest Speaker Robert Barnhart with ‘How to be Successful in the Entertainment Industry’

On Friday, March 9th in room FA 202 at 12:30, The Department of Theatre Arts and the Entertainment and Theatre Technology program is excited to announce that Robert Barnhart will once again be visiting Saddleback College and will be leading a lecture on How to be Successful in the Entertainment Industry.

Mr. Barnhart is the principle designer at 22 Degrees Entertainment Design Group in Los Angeles, and has been the lighting designer for such shows as the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show,  the 56th Grammy Awards, So You Think You Can Dance, The Oscars and many more. He has been nominated for 37 EMMY Awards and has received 10 for Outstanding Lighting Design in Television. This lecture is made possible through ASG funds, and the Entertainment and Theatre Technology program.

The Department of Theatre Arts program at Saddleback College produces several fully-staged shows each year.  All students are given the opportunity to audition for every production yet Theatre Arts students are given priority in the casting process.  In addition, there are numerous opportunities for students to contribute to backstage activities through the Entertainment and Theater Technology program.

Saddleback College is located at 28000 Marguerite Pkwy in Mission Viejo, just east of Interstate 5 at the Avery Parkway exit.  Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway and turn left. Turn right into the first campus entrance and take the second left to Theatre Circle. Parking Lot 12 is on the right.
