AV Aquatic Center – Close to Opening

Date:

City’s Aquatic, Conference Centers one step closer to opening

The Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center and Conference Center are one step closer to opening, after the City Council on Wednesday approved the facilities’ draft operating budgets. Council members also signed off on the completed construction of the centers and Vista Park. The facilities will be owned by the city and operated by ClubCorp.

The centers will provide the public with a resort-style swimming complex and an impressive meeting space designed for weddings, birthdays, corporate meetings, parties and more.

The Aquatic Center, at 29 Santa Barbara, will operate during peak season from Memorial Day through Labor Day – which the City Council decided would be the most cost-effective operation for the city. However, the city will monitor its operating budget each year and make any schedule adjustments as needed. The facility, which will offer fee-based swimming programs and much more, is slated to make its public splash this Memorial Day weekend.

The city will soon begin accepting bookings for the Conference Center at 31 Santa Barbara. For information on booking the facility, call 949-598-9200 and ask for the private events director.
