At its meeting on October 13, 2009 the Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Dr. Darren McDuffie to the position of Executive Director I, Personnel Services. Dr. McDuffie comes to CUSD having served most recently as Principal at Del Dios Middle and L.R. Green Elementary Schools in the Escondido Union School District.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the Capistrano Unified School District,” admits McDuffie. “As I begin this journey, my initial focus will be on developing relationships with the CUSD community. Through the power of these relationships, we will continue to be a leader in providing quality education to all of our students.”
A doctoral graduate of USC, McDuffie has an impressive background working with Human Resource Services. He completed the Association of California School Administrators Personnel Academy in 2009 and has been a member of his district’s negotiation team, has experience recruiting, retaining, and evaluating personnel and has successfully led his schools to function as collegial professional learning communities.
“We look forward to working with Dr. McDuffie in developing a clear, shared vision and collective purpose in CUSD,” stated Ellen Addonizio, President of the CUSD Board of Trustees. “He will be a great asset to the CUSD team.”
