Free Diabetes Prevention, Nutrition for the Family classes kick off this month

| The free classes, sponsored by CHOC Children’s Hospital, Padre Foundation, Family Resource Center and Hoag Hospital, will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11 and Nov. 15 at 24671 Via Iglesia.
The classes will teach families how to play, shop and prepare meals together. Class activities and demonstrations are designed to motivate all members of the family to make healthier, better informed choices through label reading, media literacy and refusal skills.
