The 12th annual Aliso Viejo Community Cup on Friday, May 29 will give community members a chance to tee off at the picturesque Jack Nicklaus-designed course with a United States Marine.
The annual event is offering the “Sponsor-A-Marine” program, giving the public the opportunity to play golf with a Marine or sponsor the Marine for the day.
“The Marines come from Camp Pendleton and always have a great time taking part in this fun-filled event,” said event coordinator Kristin Olsen.
The tournament averages about four participating Marines a year and is seeking many more. For golfers and folks who cannot participate in the Community Cup, sponsoring a Marine is a great way to thank the members of our military for their service to our country.
Cost is $275 and proceeds from the event benefit youth programs in the community.
