The Niguel Hills Middle School Robo Sharks were the top middle school team at the VEX IQ California State Championships in Santa Clara last month

Malcom Elementary School and Marco Forster Middle School

each won awards as well. Niguel Hills also won the

Team Champion Award.

 

Coached by Susie Patterson, the Niguel Hills Robo Sharks

qualified to compete in the world championships

April 23 – April 26 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

 

At the state competition, Malcolm (coached by Nona Reimer)

won the Design Award and Marco Forster

coached by Jenny Gonzales and Andrew Freeman)

the Sportsmanship Award.

 

District has five elementary and five middle

schools competing in the VEX IQ competitions.
