Unique Peace Conference being Hosted by South Orange County Leaders on March 22, 2014

In a world of conflict and chaos, the idea of attaining peace must begin at the grass roots level.

The Rotary Clubs of South Orange County are hosting this world-class peace conference, open to the public, on Saturday March 22, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. It will be at the Hills Hotel, 25025 La Paz Road in Laguna Niguel.

A distinguished panel of experts in the fields of resolving conflict and promoting peace internationally, in the community and in the home will present the unique day long Peace Conference.

Tickets are $10.00 ($5.00 Students) and may be purchased from any Rotary Club member, at the door, or by contacting Alan Adamo – alan.adamo@gmail.com

Speakers incude:

· Fary Moini who spent four months in Jalalabad, Afghanistan starting up a school and computer lab for 3500 students. This volunteer nurse for Afghan refugees was named Rotarian of the Year for her work.

· Jerry Bloch – son of a Holocaust survivor and member of the Americans for Peace Now and J Street focusing on the Israel-Palestinian issue. Spoke at the Cousins Club. Law Degree USF.

· Michael Fryer – International Trainer, Lecturer and Facilitator with the U. of Bradford, Dept of Peace Studies. Worked with Peace Centers in No. Ireland. Has written numerous peace oriented publications.  He is a Rotarian working with Peace Fellows in Chula Vista. MA in Conflict Resolution from the U. of Bradford.

· Eden Steele – Founder and Executive Director of Interactions for Peace and the Youth Actors from the Theater of Peace. M.S. IN Educational Science.

· O.C. Sheriff’s Gang Enforcement Team – Deputies who work in undercover capacities, engaging in gang suppression activities.

· Dr. Rick Gastil – Ran an Employee Assistance Program for 20+ years at companies like Edison and the San Onofre Generating Station. Teaches graduate programs in Stress Mgt., Anger Mgt., Parenting Adolescents, etc. Private marital counselor in the cities of Orange and San Clemente. Chairman(2014) of the San Clemente Therapists Group. Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
